Randy James Byerly

Randy James Byerly, 38, of Tipton passed away Sunday afternoon, September 29, 2019. A time of visitation will be held on Wednesday night, October 2 where family will receive friends from 3-7 PM at Calvary Foursquare Church in Tipton, Iowa. Funeral services will follow the next day October 3 at 10:30 AM also at the Foursquare Church.  Burial will follow in the Woodbridge Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established. Randy was born on June 16, 1981 to Mary McAfee Byerly in Iowa City, Iowa. He spent his childhood attending school in Tipton and graduated with the class of 2000 and then attained the rank of Eagle Scout. Randy had worked for the company LL Pelling as a Roller Operator since 2002. Randy had a passion for racing in the Hobby Stock races since 2014 and was the season champ for 2017 and 2018 at the Maquoketa Speedway. He was a faithful member of the Tipton Calvary Foursquare Church.

Randy is survived by his mother Mary McAfee Byerly; fiancée Rosa Gottschalk; mother-in-law Roberta Gottschalk; two half-sisters Cheryl Greene and Robin Beak; half-brother Richard Byerly; and special friend Larry Fritz. He is preceded in death by his father, brother, and half-sister Gina Boysen.
