Raymond L. LaRue, age 75, of Chicago and formerly of Tipton died on Thursday, June 23, 2005 at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago following a short illness. Funeral services will at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, June 27, 2005 at the Tipton First United Church of Christ, burial will be at Tipton Masonic Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday at the church from 11:30 a.m. until service time at 1:30 p.m. A general memorial fund has been established, Raymond Lee LaRue was born on the farm North of Tipton on November 22, 1929, the son of Lon H. and Emma Brick LaRue. He graduated from Tipton High School and moved to Chicago in the fifties. For over thirty years he worked for the Sara Lee Corporation in Chicago as an accountant. Ray enjoyed his family, his nieces and nephews, living in Chicago and Jazz Music. His family includes a sister, Margie Gaul and husband, Monte of Tipton, a brother, Don LaRue of Chicago, Illinois; nephews, Monte D. Gaul and wife Anita of Tipton, Steve Gaul of Tucson, Arizona, Wally Werling and wife, Debbie of Waseca, Minnesota; nieces, Lisa Forest and husband, Mark of Tipton, Kathy Nothdorf of Des Moines, Iowa, Carma Tucker and husband Lael of Garfield, Minnesota along with numerous great nieces and nephews. Ray was preceded in death by his parents, an infant brother, one sister and her husband, Darline and Oliver Werling.
