Richard "Dick" F. Dwyer, 87, of Calamus, passed away on July 3, 2017 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield, Wisconsin with all of his family at his bedside. A memorial mass to celebrate his life will be held on Monday, July 10 at 10:00 am at St. Phillip & James Catholic Church in Grand Mound, Iowa with burial of his cremated remain to follow in the St. James Cemetery in Toronto, Iowa. The family will receive friends at the church from 2:00 to 5:00 pm Sunday at the church. Online condolences may be shared at www.fryfuneralhome.com. A memorial fund has been established in his memory. Dick was born on April 6, 1930 in Harvey, Illinois and was the son of John Michael and Theresa Hann Dwyer. Dick received his B.A. Degree from St. Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa. On July 2, 1955 Dick was united in marriage to Ann C. Kelly in Williston, North Dakota. Dick worked as a Production Control Manager for JI Case in Bettendorf, Iowa and McLaughlin Body in East Moline, Illinois, a member of St. Phillip & James Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus. Dick's hobbies include golfing, fishing, boating, woodworking, spending time at their cabin in Wisconsin. But most importantly spending time with his family. Dick is survived by his wife, Ann Dwyer of Calamus, Iowa; six daughters, Nancy Walters, of Calamus, Iowa, Colleen (Gene) McCarty of Justin, Texas, Michelle (Kent) Wiebel of Eldridge, Iowa, Tressa (Dan Herberg) Moellenbeck of Calamus, Iowa, Ellen (Will) Azinger of Hampton, Iowa and Charlotte (Dean) Brabant of Eldridge, Iowa; son, Bob (Holly) Dwyer of Calamus, Iowa; 20 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Dick was preceded in death by his parents; two infant sons; brothers, John Dwyer Jr. and Gerald Dwyer; son-in-law, Curt Walters; and grandson, Jason McCarty.
