Richard Henry Langford, Jr, 52, of Bennett, passed away from complications of surgery, August 7, 2017 at Select Specialty Hospital, Davenport. There will be a Celebration of Life held on Saturday, August 12, Cedar Valley Park - Shelter #3 at noon, followed by a luncheon. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made out to Fry Funeral Home. Online condolences may be shared at www.fryfuneralhome.com. Richard was born on March 26, 1965, in Trenton, Michigan to Richard Sr. and Barbara (Clark) Langford. Richard enjoyed spending the majority of his time with his nieces and nephews, who he loved as if they were his own. His favorite words to hear were, "Hey Uncle Ricky", which usually meant, could you make your taco salad or take us somewhere. He loved music (Pink Floyd), debating politics and anything and everything else he could, and all sports, with his favorite players being Joey, Abbi, Haylee and Will. Surviving Richard are his sisters, Debra Clark, Susan (Jim) Bradley-Mote and Tonia (Danny) Vasquez; nieces and nephews, Beni (Keith) Butler/Clinkenbeard, Kylee (Billy) Heister and Joni (Garrett) Thompson; great nieces and nephews, Joseph and Abbi Butler, Crista Portelli, Haylee and William Heister, Compton and Brooklyn Thompson. He is also survived by Allen (Charlene) Clark, Wanda (Jack) Smith and several cousins and adopted nieces and nephews. Richard was preceded in death by his parents.
