Richard 'Rick' Lynn Kunde

Richard ‘Rick’ Lynn Kunde, 75, of Beloit, Wisconsin, formerly of Tipton, Iowa, passed away very suddenly from a suspected heart attack on Saturday, August 3, 2024 at the University of Wisconsin Hospitals & Clinics in Madison, Wisconsin. A time to gather and meet with Rick’s family and friends will be held on Saturday, August 17th from 1:00 to 3:00 pm followed by the Celebration of Life Service at 3:00 pm in the Trinity Lutheran Church in Tipton. To honor Rick’s service to our country military honors will be bestowed at the church following the memorial service. You are invited to help honor Rick’s request and join family and friends at the Tipton V.F. W. for a time of food and fellowship immediately following. Rick, son of Elmer Herman Kunde and Dolores Jane Thiering Kunde, was born on June 7, 1949 in Tipton. Rick graduated from Tipton High School with the class of 1967 and attended Kirkwood Community College. Rick served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War from 1970 to 1972.  On February 26, 1977, Rick was united in marriage with Kerry Lynn Trusler in Tipton at the Trinity Lutheran Church. Rick worked for several different agricultural implement dealers as what was known as ‘the parts man’. After Kerry’s passing in 2008, Rick was married to Bonnie Ruth Bettin on October 10, 2009 in Boscobel, Wisconsin. Rick and Bonnie enjoyed their time in both Wisconsin and Florida where they made craft items and sold them at different farmers markets. Rick was a member of the Lutheran faith and was a Lifetime Member of Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Rick is survived by his wife, Bonnie Kunde of Beloit, Wisconsin, his daughter, Erin Kunde of Wilmington, Massachusetts, stepchildren, James (Amanda Schultz) Davis, Jennifer (Brad Buzzo) Stowers; grandchildren, Derrick “DJ: Kunde Jr., Delrae (Keifr) Howell, Thor David, Morgan (Justin Devlin) La Rosa, and Trent (Yu) Stowers; his sister, Deb (Mike) Cook and his brother, Dale (Cindy) Kunde, all of Tipton, Iowa. Rick was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Dolores Kunde, his wife, Kerry Kunde, and his sons, Derrick Kunde and Mark Davis.
