Rick Long

Rick LaVerne Long, son of LaVerne and Angela Leaf Long, was born December 8, 1948 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He was a graduate of Tipton High School and served in the United States Army. He was united in marriage to Kim Annette Petersen on June 7, 1997 in Tipton, Iowa. Rick was a lifetime member of the Tipton V.F.W. and was employed by HWH. Surviving is his wife, Kim Long of Tipton, Iowa; sisters, Judy Cook of Iowa City, Iowa, Windy Long of Bennett, Iowa and Wanda Chaplin of Tipton, Iowa; daughter, Angela McCullough and husband, Kelly of Mechanicsville, Iowa; and 3 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. A memorial has been established in lieu of flowers.
