Robert Schroeder

Robert Charles Schroeder, son of Herman Anton & Margaret Murray Schroeder, was born February 6, 1918, in rural Sunbury, Iowa. He was a 1936 graduate of Tipton High School. Robert served in the U.S. Army during WWI. On July 30, 1970, Robert was united in marriage to Elaine Mardell Wykoff in Nichols, Iowa. Robert spent his life farming. He was a 50 year member of Golden Rule Lodge #24 in Rochester. Robert is survived by his wife, Elaine Schroeder of Tipton, Iowa; his daughters, Colleen Cooksey of Davenport, Iowa, Kayleen Brewer of Sikeston, Missouri, Twilla Gorsuch of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Judy Archer of Tipton, Iowa; his son, Max Safley of California, Missouri; many grandchildren & great-grandchildren; and his sister, Wanda Price of Loa, Utah. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman & Margaret Schroeder; and his brother Wallace Schroeder. A memorial has been established in honor of Robert for the Golden Rule Lodge #24.
