Robert Laverne Sheets

Robert LaVerne Sheets, son of Herbert K. and M. Marie Shetler Sheets was born March 16, 1932, in Cedar County, Iowa. He was a 1949 graduate of Tipton High School. Robert served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Robert was united in marriage to Martha Lena Primus on June 30, 1955, in Sumner, Iowa. He later married Janet Hamiel on July 16, 2005 at the Tipton Bible Church in Tipton. He was a member of the Tipton Bible Church and a past member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. Early in his career, Robert worked as a carpenter and then as a milkman. His final employment was with Family Foods where he was employed as head baker until he retired in 2003. Robert is survived by his wife, Jan Sheets of Tipton, Iowa; his daughter, Diane (Virgil) Penrod of Tipton, Iowa; grandchildren, Keith Penrod and fiancé
