Funeral services for Robert J. Sissel, 66, of Tipton who died Wednesday, October 17, 2012 will be held Monday, October 22, 2012 at 10:00 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Tipton, with Father David Hitch officiating. Visitation will be held from 2-5 pm Sunday, October 21, 2012 at Fry Funeral Home, Tipton with a rosary following visitation vigil at 5 pm. Robert, son of Jefferson A. and Ruth D. Inghram Sissel was born February 3, 1946, in Johnson County, Iowa. He was a graduate of Tipton High School and attended Military Electricians School. Robert served in the United States Navy from 1965 - 1967. On February 24, 1968, Robert was united in marriage to Rita Lynn Jedlicka in Tipton, Iowa. Robert was co-owner of S & C Machining in Tipton for many years and later owned and operated the Tipton Bakery. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus and the Tipton VFW.
