Ronald Eugene Skladzien

Ronald Eugene Skladzien, 62, of Tipton, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at Windmill Manor in Coralville, Iowa. Visitation, celebrating Ron's life, will be held Thursday, March 12, 2015 from 5-7pm at Fry Funeral Home. Please come wearing casual clothing, in Ron's honor. Ron was born September 25, 1952, the son of Edwin R. and Mildred H. Shotwell Skladzien in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He graduated from Tipton High School in 1970 and attended 1 year of the trade program at Scott Community College. He was a Fabricator at HWH and formerly with Montgomery Elevator and Fuji Tech. He was a member of the Boy Scouts of America. On February 10, 2015, Ron accepted the Lord into his heart. He was a huge fan of the Iowa Hawkeye and Dallas Cowboys football programs. He was an avid photographer, and loved his Corvette and F1 Racing. He also had many cats he loved over the years, but his favorite was and is, Lucy. Ron is survived by his nieces & nephews, Judy (Andrew) Jenkins of Tipton, Iowa and Annette Flora of Tipton, Sam Skladzien of Davenport, Iowa, Tim Skladzien, Patty Brown, and Shawn (Angela) Skladzien, all of Maquoketa; brothers, Richard (Maricor) Skladzien of Arizona and Bobby (Beverly) Helmold of Maquoketa, Iowa; and beloved cat, Lucy. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mildred "Millie" Skladzien and father, Ed Skladzien.
