Ruby Claire Burroughs

Ruby Claire Burroughs, 79, formerly of Tipton, entered eternity on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 while under the care of the Wapello Nursing Home in Wapello, Iowa. Memorial services will be held later in the spring of 2020. Online condolences may be shared at www.fryfuneralhome.com.

Ruby, daughter of Lloyd and Leone Herbst Burroughs, was born on September 11, 1940 in Cedar County, Iowa. Ruby made her final home in the Wapello Nursing Home where she felt comfortable and cared for by the staff and residents. She led a simple life but left her impact on all who were blessed to have known her.

Ruby is survived by her three brothers, John Burroughs of Davenport, Iowa, William Burroughs of Burlington, Washington, and Ronald Burroughs of Tipton, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews. Ruby was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Shirley.  A special thank you to the caring staff of the Wapello Nursing Home for all the years of allowing Ruby to make her home there.
