Ruby Mitchell

Ruby Bernice Schroeder, daughter of Bernhard & Viola Hass Schroeder, was born May 13, 1918. She graduated from Tipton High School in 1936 and attended Tipton Junior College. On December 17, 1937, she was united in marriage to Homer Israel Mitchell in Davenport, Iowa. She was empolyed as a switch board operator for AT&T for 31 years. Ruby was a member of the Golden Star and VFW Auxiliary. She is survived by a daughter, Sandra Pennington & husband, Joe of Tipton, Iowa; son, Richard Gene Mitchell & special friend, Lisa Olney of Tipton, Iowa; 3 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bernhard & Viola Schroeder; and her husband, Homer Mitchell.
