Funeral services for Ruby Geneva Streets, 103, of Rochester who died Thursday, July 25, 2013, will be held Monday, July 29, 2013 at 10:30 am at Fry Funeral Home, Tipton. Rev. Norman Anderson will be officiating. There will be a visitation at Fry Funeral Home on Sunday, July 28, 2013 from 2-4 pm. Burial will be at Tipton Masonic Cemetery. A general memorial fund has been established in memory of Ruby. Ruby was born September 9, 1909 in rural Cedar County, Iowa to Frank Garfield and Mae Linn Reeder. She was a 1927 graduate of Tipton High School and 1930 graduate of Tipton Community Junior College. She taught school in Cedar County from 1930 - 1935. On February 23, 1935 she was united in marriage to Clarence Floyd Streets in Tipton. Ruby lived on a farm all of her life and was a devoted farmwife. She was later employed at the Cove Restaurant for approximately 30 years. Ruby was a member of the Rochester United Methodist Church, UMW, Rochester Homemakers, Grange, and the Rochester Kitchen Band. Ruby is survived by her sons; Larry (Jeannie) Streets of West Branch, Iowa, Robert (Karen) Streets of Letts, Iowa, Russell (Frances) Streets of Morning Sun, Iowa; 7 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren; and several step grandchildren, step great grandchildren and step great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, and daughter in law, Karen Streets.
