Ruth Wiese

Ruth Caroline Wiese, the daughter of Andrew & Lizzie Kinkaid Miller, was born April 7, 1910, in Calamus, Iowa. She married Leroy Wiese on October 26, 1929, a union spanning 69 years. Ruth loved to spend time in her garden and in keeping her house spotless. She enjoyed seeing all the little ones; her living room and dining room were full of their pictures. She was very active until the time of her stroke, enjoying raking and yard work. Ruth leaves five sons, Warren Wiese of Bennett, IA, Harold Wiese of Durant, IA, Walter Wiese of Mechanicsville, IA, Frank Wiese & wife, Linda Lou, of Texas and Roger Wiese & wife, Jane, of Bennett, IA; three daughters, Joyce Meier of Wilton, IA, Lois Whitlatch & husband, Keith of Stanwood, IA, and Carolyn Bunch of Fort Collins, CO; 25 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and two sisters-in-law. She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew & Lizzie Kinkaid Miller; her husband, Leroy in 1998, sisters, Viola Quelle, Effie Fisher, Yvonee Holcomb and Mary Peterson; brothers, David, Faye and Glenn Miller; a great-grandson, great-granddaughter; and daughters-in-law, Jean Wiese and Carol Wiese.
