Sarah Ann Bails Menzer

Sarah, daughter of John Ray and Barbara Irene Treichler Bails, was born on October 4, 1940 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She attended school in Stanwood and was a 1958 graduate of Lincoln High School. Sarah married Kenneth Krenz, they later divorced. She married Ronald Menzer in 1986. In the course of her life Sarah worked at Sheller Globe, Oral-B, U of I, and as her last job she became a nanny and taught by example. Sarah is survived by her five children, Leslie (Gerry) Brick of West Branch, Iowa, Kayla (John) Cress of Iowa City, Iowa; Marcia Krenz of Iowa City, Iowa; Lonnie Krenz of West Branch, Iowa; and Kevin Krenz of Palm Harbor, Florida; 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Ellen Knupp of Vinton, Iowa; Susan Voss and Margaret Bails of Stanwood, Iowa; Betty Konkel of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; June Walshire of Onaga, Kansas; Linda Nemecek of Indiana; Nancy Forrest of Iowa City, Iowa; brothers, Bob Bails of Springville, Iowa; Jim Bails of Waukee, Iowa; Bill Bails of Stanwood, Iowa; Chuck Bails of Mt. Vernon, Iowa; Paul Bails of Papillion, Nebraska; Richard Bails of Stanwood, Iowa; John Bails of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and Don Bails of Norway. She was preceded in death by her parents, her former husbands and her niece, Karen Hildebrand.
