Stephen Tenley

Stephen LeRoy Tenley, son of Howard and Mildred Vernice Horne Tenley was born March 12, 1947, in Anamosa, Iowa. He attended Lincoln High School in Stanwood while growing up. On November 16, 1974, he was united in marriage to Marla Jean McCray in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. He was a laborer by trade. Stephen is survived by his wife, Marla Tenley of Tipton, Iowa; daughters, Samantha Tenley of Tipton, Iowa, Joyce Elizarraras and husband, Manuel of Hope Mills, North Carolina; sons, Scott Tenley and wife, Tricia of Tipton, Iowa, Kevin Tenley and wife, Karla of Clarence, Iowa; grandchildren, Mersades, Marissa, Arlena, Taylor, Alexandria, Delanie, Brandon and wife, Deanna, Alison, Anthony, Sabrina, Savanna, Bryanna, Hunter; brothers, Dean Tenley and wife, Doris of Stanwood, Iowa, Richard Tenley of Mechanicsville, Iowa, Roger Tenley and John Tenley and wife, Karen of Stanwood, Iowa, Dale Tenley of Toronto, Iowa; sisters, Joyce Wagner of Stanwood, Iowa, Mary Clark and husband, Jim of Tipton, Iowa, Linda Walshire of Topeka, Kansas, Wanda Farrington and husband, Gordon of Mechanicsville, Iowa, and Martha Becker and special friend, Abe of Tipton, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents, and an infant sister, Della Tenley. Memorials may be made to the Stephen Tenley Memorial Fund.
