Tami Ann Simester

Tami Ann Simester, 54, Rochester, Iowa passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday, June 25, 2016. Friends and family may gather from 4:00-6:00 pm, Thursday, June 30th at Fry Funeral Home, Tipton for a time of visitation. Graveside services will be held at Rochester Cemetery on Friday, July 1, 11:00 am, with a celebration of life gathering at Tami and Dan's home in Rochester. Memorials may be directed to Tami's family. Online condolences may be shared at www.fryfuneralhome.com. Tami was born March 17, 1962 to Grove "Shorty" and Evelyn (Martens) Simester. She attended school in Davenport and graduated from Wilton High School in 1981 and Muscatine Community College in 1983. Tami married Steven Johnson on March 5, 1983 becoming step-mother to 2 beautiful little girls and later she and Steven were blessed with a son. They divorced and later Tami married Daniel Treimer on a sandbar near their home in Rochester on September 15, 2001. A short time after, they divorced. They reconciled and spent the last 10 years living happily ever after. Tami worked several different places during her lifetime but enjoyed her waitressing jobs at Bernie's Dairyette and Tipton MaidRite where she made many great friends. Tami enjoyed boating, riding around on Dan's motorcycle and ranger and spending time with friends. Her greatest joy came from being with Dan, her children and grandchildren. Tami is survived and lovingly remembered by her significant other, Dan Treimer of Rochester; her children, Misty (Chad) Dickey, Moscow, Sandy (Barrett) Crock, Tipton, Ross (Brittni) Johnson, Wilton; grandchildren, Caitlin (Dolly) Crane, Hunter Dickey, Cody Gaul, Gracie Crock, Savanna, Haidyn and Emilie Johnson; brothers, Gary Simester and Terry (Vicki) Simester both of Muscatine and Tim Simester, Davenport; a nephew and 3 nieces, several great-nieces and great-nephews, her best friend since age 15, Vicki Kress-Plett, Wilton and her beloved and loyal companion Ama the cat. Tami was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
