Thomas ‘Tom’ Francis Fagan

Thomas ‘Tom’ Francis Fagan, 81 years of age, found peace when he drew his last breath on Thursday, June 27, 2024 while under the care of Frontida Assisted Living and Memory Care in Elkhorn, Wisconsin. We will come to honor and remember his life on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at with a time of visitation from 10:00 am to Noon followed immediately with his funeral service starting at Noon at Fry Funeral Home which is located in Tipton, Iowa. He will be laid to rest beside his parents in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Tipton. A memorial fund has been created for the Alzheimer’s Association (alz.org). Tom, son of Herbert Francis Fagan and Leona Alvina Klinkkammer Fagan, was born on August 28, 1942 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Tom graduated from Bennett High School and was a member of the Class of 1960. Tom was united in marriage to Bonnie K. Schulz on December 28, 1965. They later divorced. Tom was a farmer who raise corn and beans, farrowed hogs to finish, he drove school bus and later worked as a security guard for Rockwell Collins. Tom was a longtime member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Tipton, a member of the FFA, Farmers Union, Rockwell Collins Union and loved to bowl and golf.

Tom is survived by his son, Michael Fagan and daughter-in-law, Neang Fagan and their daughter, Kara Fagan; his daughter, Julie Erkamaa and son-in-law, Mikko Erkamaa and their three children, Brandon Erkamaa, Gavin Bontty and Emily Erkamaa; his brother, Jim Fagan and his sister-in-law, Ranae Fagan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Leona Fagan.
