Timothy Allen McDonald, 74, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2026, at Crestview Care Initiatives.
Visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Friday, October 9, 2026, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Tipton, followed by a funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Davenport. Online condolences may be shared at www.fryfuneralhome.com.
Tim was born December 18, 1951, to Joyce and Keenan Graves and Clay and Betty McDonald. He was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Tim is survived by his children, Joseph, Jenny, and Timothy (Julie) McDonald; his grandchildren, Cyress (Natalie), Noah, Addy, Avari, Kinzlee, and Owen McDonald; his sisters, Catherine (James) Graft, Carol (Carl) Fobian, Patricia Depoorter, Deborah (Dennis) Driscoll, Vicky Peek, and Tina Miller; his sister-in-law, Kimberly McDonald; and his brothers, Michael McDonald, Buddy McDonald, Keenan (Shelia) Graves, and Theodore (Jessica) Graves.
Tim had a personality all his own and was known for his great sense of fun and his dancing skills—especially “The Archie.” He loved listening to country music, and music and dancing were a special part of who he was. Tim was also known for being quite the charmer with the ladies, a part of his personality that those who knew him will remember with a smile.
Tim will be deeply missed by his family and all those who had the privilege of knowing him. He leaves behind countless memories, stories, and moments that will be cherished forever.
Though our hearts are heavy with his passing, we find comfort in knowing that Tim is no longer suffering. He has spread his wings and is now flying with the angels, with Heaven as his home.
Dance free, Tim. Turn up the country music, do your Archie, and save us a dance. You will be loved, missed, and remembered forever.
Tim was preceded in death by his parents, Joyce and Keenan Graves and Clay and Betty McDonald; his brothers, Daniel McDonald, Davie McDonald, and Terry McDonald; his sister, Ginger Brooks; his brother-in-law, Eric Depoorter; and his sisters-in-law, Maggie McDonald, Donna McDonald and Diana McDonald.
A memorial is being established for a gravestone.
