Velma Fields

Velma was born in Little Sauk, Minnesota on July 27, 1921, the daughter of Christian Leonard and Edna Baker Ohlsen. She was very active in school and graduated from Olin High School in 1938. On October 26, 1941, Velma was united in marriage to Robert C. Fields at the First Methodist Church in Palmyra, Missouri. Velma is loved and survived by her husband, Robert Fields of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; her sons, Michael James Fields, & wife, Lewanda of Laporte, Colorado and David Sean Fields & wife, Laura of Adams, Wisconsin; five grandchildren, Suzanne, Robbie, Mandi and Kelli Fields and Jennifer Irish; great-grandchildren, Kyla and Trent; and a niece, Glatha Jean Szabadi. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Madge Gottsch and Marie Guhl; and a niece Glenda Jo Scarbrough. Memorials may be made to St. Luke's Hospice, P.O.
