Verda Dolly" Walter daughter of Dietrick H.E. and Minnie Ibsen Meyer was born May 191904.0 in Clarence Iowa. She attended school in Clarence. Dolly was united in marriage on October 30 1927 in Clarence. Dolly was a homemaker and a member of Peace Church of Christ United in Bennett. She belonged to Order of the Eastern Star in Davenport the Sippers Club and various card clubs. Dolly is survived by her son Donald D. Walter of Bennett Iowa; grandchildren Julie Hogan and husband Mike Judy Thoma Jackie Squire and husband E.J. all of Durant Iowa and Donald "Chip" Walter and wife Julie of Iowa City Iowa; 5 great-grandchildren Bryan Thoma Aaron Thoma Jeffrey Hogan Colin Walter and Morgan Walter; and 3 great-great-grandchildren Maxwell Blake and Gustin Thoma. She was preceded in death by her parents Dietrick and Minnie Meyer; husband Donald in 1966; daughter Donna Mae Evans; brothers Lester Elmer Richard and Lloyd Meyer; daughter-in-law Jean Ruth Walter. A memorial has been established for Cedar Manor Nursing Home in honor of Dolly."
