Verlon Charles Weaver, son of Harold Edward and Pearl Margaret Brady Weaver, was born December 6, 1931, in Jones County, Iowa. He attended school in Tipton. Verlon served in the US Army during the Korean War. On November 24, 1954, Verlon was united in marriage to Donalee Sue Armstrong in Tipton, Iowa. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion and the Tipton VFW, a Moose member and a member of ILICA. He belonged to the First United Church of Christ in Tipton. Verlon worked as a Farm Drainage Contractor from 1948 until retiring in 2004. Verlon is loved and survived by his wife, Donalee Weaver of Tipton, Iowa; daughter, Becky Klein and husband, James of West Branch, Iowa; son, Randall Weaver and wife, Linda of Tipton, Iowa; grandchildren, Jessica Weaver, Mallory Weaver, Laura Weaver, Cody and Jamie Klein, Glendon Klein, Tim and Brenda Klein, Carrie and Brad Hanssen, Dee and Jeff Kohl, Traci and Harry Shoemaker, Todd and Megan Klein; great-grandchildren, Shannon Weaver and Mathew Klein; step-great-grandchildren, Dustin, Shannon, Jenna, and Brandon Klein, Shane, Matthew and Nicolas Hanssen, Tyler Kohl, Sam and Carissa Shoemaker; sisters, Norma Fell of Iowa City, Iowa, Arnola Dewell and husband, Larry of Lowden, Iowa, Darlys Sayles and husband, Everett of LeClaire, Iowa; brother, Arnold Weaver and wife, Patti of St. Joseph, Michigan. He was preceded in death by his parents. A general memorial fund has been established in memory of Verlon.
