Walter Wilbur Wiese

Walter W. Wiese, 80, formerly of Bennett and Tipton, died Friday, February 28, 2014 at 7:50 am in the Mechanicsville Nursing & Rehab Center. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 3, 2014 at 11:00 am at Fry Funeral Home, Tipton. Burial will follow in the Inland Cemetery in Bennett. Visitation for Walter will be held at Fry's from 10:00 - 11:00 am Monday morning one hour prior to the funeral. Walter was born on July 11, 1935 in Bennett, Iowa and was the son of Leroy Erwin and Ruth Caroline Miller Wiese. He was educated in the Bennett School and worked for the Clinton Engine Company, Maquoketa, West Liberty Foods, West Liberty, and the Cheese Factory in Tipton. Walter is survived by his children; Margo(Maggie) Michael, Bryant and Marie: , sisters; Joyce Meier of Wilton, Iowa, Carolyn Bunch of Fort Collins, Colorado, Lois (Keith) Whitlatch of Stanwood, Iowa; brothers, Roger (Jane) Wiese of Bennett , Warren Wiese, Bennett and Frank Wiese of Texas and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Harold. Walter enjoyed fishing and attending flea markets.
