Wayne Hodgden

Wayne Vernon Hodgden was born March 5, 1919 in Oxford Mills, Iowa. He was the son of Vernon and Sophia Krutzfeld Hodgden. Wayne attended school in Oxford Junction, Iowa while growing up. Wayne was joined in marriage to Luella Helena Burmeister on June 6, 1943 in Clarence, Iowa. Wayne was a member of the First United Church of Christ in Tipton. He lived his life farming and providing for his family. Wayne is loved and missed by his daughters, Carolyn Siders and husband, Howard of Tipton, Iowa, Nancy Mathias and husband, Randy of Tipton, Iowa; sons, Larry Hodgden and wife, Sharon of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Dennis Hodgden and wife, Diana of Tipton, Iowa; 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Luella in 2001 , son, Gary in 1975, sisters, Verna Merritt and Erma Clapp; brothers, Floyd, Harold and Charles Hodgden.
