William “Bill” Lewis Stewart, 52, of Tipton, IA, passed away on Monday, May 8, 2023.

On Tuesday, May 16, 2023, a Visitation and Time of Remembrance will be held from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm, at Fry Funeral Home. Bill will then be cremated and buried at a later date.

In lieu of flowers and to help offset funeral costs, family asks that cards and memorials be addressed to Lori Stewart and mailed in c/o Fry Funeral Home, PO Box 30, Tipton, IA 52772.

Bill, son of Bonnie Rae (Oaks) and William “Gene” Eugene Stewart was born on Tuesday, July 14, 1970 in Iowa City, IA. He attended Central Lee High School in Donnellson, IA and went on to use his natural “jack of all trades” talent as a mechanic and as a “right hand man” for Eastern Iowa Trailers and the Hot and Sudsy Car Wash. There wasn’t anything Bill couldn’t fix or build. Bill married Lori Rahn on June 27, 2010 at their home outside of Tipton. Going on to work together for many years. In his leisure time, Bill enjoyed mushroom hunting, bow hunting, camping and fishing. He loved his Busch Light and collecting Snap-on tools. Bill was known for indulging his jokester nature by always enjoying a good prank, but he was also known for being a very giving man that would help anyone in need and for the love he had for his family. Bill is survived by his wife, Lori Stewart of Tipton; daughters, Mikayla Stewart of Durant, IA and Kayla Behrle of Tipton; son, Kyle (Samantha) Behrle of Tipton; sisters, Tina (Brent) Figert of Fort Madison, IA and Teresa (Brian) King of Fulton, MO; brother, Junior (Kaci) Stewart of Fort Madison, IA; nephews, Taylor (Alex) Edgar of Des Moines, IA, Levi Edgar of Donnellson, IA, and Riley Stewart of Fort Madison, IA; grandson, James Behrle; brother-in-law, Jason Rahn; and his beloved dogs, “Skunkie” and “Brownie”. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Raymond and Joy Oaks and Doris Oaks, and Lewis and Coral Stewart; parents, Bonnie and Gene; and sister, Jessica Stewart.
