William Walter Plate

William (Bill) Walter Plate, 55, of Goose Creek, South Carolina, passed away April 12, 2016. Visitation will be held at Fry Funeral Home, Tipton on Wednesday, April 20th from 4:00-7:00 pm. Funeral Service will also be at Fry's on Thursday, April 21st at 10:30 am. A graveside service with Military Honors will follow at Inland Cemetery, Bennett, Iowa. Online condolences may be shared at www.fryfuneralhome.com. Bill was born on September 27, 1960 to Henry and Joanne Plate in Bennett, Iowa. He attended school in Bennett and Tipton. Bill was married to Priscilla Johnson on January 21, 1984. He was a veteran of the US Air Force where he was a jet mechanic. Bill was also employed as a truck mechanic and most recently as an assembler at Boeing. Bill was preceded in death by his father, Henry Fred Plate; step-sister, Becky Berry. He is survived by his wife, Priscilla; daughter, Rachel both of Goose Creek, S.C.; mother and stepfather, Joanne and Wendell Beckley; brother, Dan (Heather) Plate, all of Tipton; stepsister, Debbie (Charles) Lane of Waterloo and several nieces and nephews.
