Lindley "Lin" Harry Johansen

Lindley "Lin" Harry Johansen, 75, passed away peacefully, on Monday, April 3, 2023 at The Summit, in Bettendorf, IA.
Funeral services will be held at Fry Funeral Home in Tipton, IA on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at 2:00 pm with burial and military rite following in Inland Cemetery, Bennett.  Memorials in Lin’s name may be made to the University of Iowa Children’s Hospital in Iowa City, IA. Lin was born on April 22, 1947 in Davenport, IA. He was the son of Harry Claus Johansen and Evelyn (Von Muenster) Johansen. 
Lin was employed as a Central Office Technician at Lumen Technologies for 34 years. He was also a veteran of the Army National Guard.
Lin grew up on the family farm in Bennett, IA and was very proud of his heritage. He maintained ownership of the family farm throughout his lifetime and keeping the farm in the family was always a great source of pride for Lin. He was also an avid car enthusiast; his Ford Mustang was his pride and joy and he also had a passion for Ford Bronco’s. 
Survivors include Lin’s brother Gerald; and many cousins and his nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents; step-father Elmer Horstman; and nephew Douglas.
