Patricia Jean (Wurr) Hellstern

Patricia ‘Patty’ Jean Hellstern, 67, of Hudson, Florida, died peacefully on Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at the Consulate Health of Bayonet Point in Hudson. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 10 at 2:00 pm at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Tipton followed by graveside services in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Patty, daughter of Vincent and Betty Knute Wurr, was born on August 31, 1953. She attended Tipton High School. On November 21, 1970, Patty was united in marriage to Joseph H. Hellstern in Tipton. Patty was a homemaker and involved in retail sales throughout her life, but her favorite profession was as the proprietor of PJ’s Bar & Grill in Olin, Iowa.

Patty is survived by her husband, Joseph Hellstern of Hudson, Florida, son, David (Kathryn) Hellstern of Des Moines, Iowa; sisters, Marge VandenBrink of Pekin, Illinois; Sharon (Gary) Meiers of Tipton, Iowa; brothers, Tim (Cynthia) Wurr of Ottumwa, Iowa; Brian Wurr of Newport Ritchey, Florida; and Mark Wurr of Nichols, Iowa. Patty was preceded in death by her parents, Vincent and Betty Wurr and her brother, David (Janice) Wurr.
