Robert “Bob” Edward Foulks, 82, of Tipton, passed away on Monday, August 3, 2020 at Mercy Hospital, Iowa City. Visitation and Funeral Services will be held at Fry Funeral Home, Tipton, on Saturday, August 8, 2020. Visitation from 8:00am – 10:00am and Funeral Service from 10:00am – 11:00am, immediately followed by a graveside service at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Tipton.
Bob, son of Clarence Patrick Foulks and Helen Mary (Kelly) Foulks, was born on Friday, February 25, 1938 in Anamosa, Iowa. On November 11, 1961, He was united in marriage to Patricia Lee Brokaw, in Monticello, Iowa. Bob went to Barber College and owned and operated two different barber shops in Cascade and Wyoming, Iowa. He later worked as a welder for Agri-Builders in Tipton, Iowa for many years. Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing and listening to country music. He enjoyed the company of Spike his Beagle and Molly, his pot belly pig; but above all, he enjoyed being a grandpa to his many grandkids and many grand-dogs.
Bob is survived by five daughters, Theresa Foulks of Tipton, Kristy Foulks of Tipton, Katie(Matt) Nerem of Tipton, Angie Foulks of Tipton and Kelly (Tom) Blythe of Central City, IA; son, Mike Foulks of Tipton; sister, Sarah Foulks of Temple Hill, IA; sister-in-law, Sharon Foulks of Onslow, IA; 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and several grand dogs. He is preceded in death by, his parents, Clarence and Helen Foulks; and his three brothers, Richard Foulks, Patrick Foulks and James Foulks.
