Robert (Bob) John Thumm

Robert “Bob” John Thumm, 61, of Tipton, entered eternity on Friday, July 16, 2021. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, July 22nd from 4:00 to 6:00 pm followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 6:00 pm at Calvary Foursquare Gospel Church in Tipton, Pastor Cynthia Ryssemus will officiate. Bob was born on December 19, 1959 in Tipton. He was the son of Charlie Thumm and Jim Parker and Helga Wolff Stewart. Bob graduated from Tipton High School with his GED and in 1980 Bob was united in marriage to Debra Wehmeyer in Muscatine. Bob was a mechanic, worked as a sandblaster and a painter. Bob was an avid Green Bay Packer fan, he loved all kinds of football, fast cars (especially Ford Mustangs) and watching old westerns. Bob was a member of the Tipton Calvary Foursquare Church.

Bob is survived by his children, Andrea Jennings of Muscatine and Micheal Thumm of Davenport; his mother, Helga Stewart of Iowa City; his siblings, Gisela Eiselstein, Elaine Ruth, Beverly James and Michael Thumm; his grandchildren, Tyler Thumm, Bryce Jennings and Cayden Jennings; his "special cousins", Annette Flora and Andrew and Judy Jenkins. Bob was preceded in death by his fathers, Charlie Thumm and Jim Parker.
