Stanley Abram Smith

Stanley Abram Smith, 86, of Olin, passed into eternity on Thursday, March 17th in his home surrounded by his family. Private family graveside committal services will be held on Monday, March 21, 2022 at in Green Center Cemetery, Morley, with the Rev. Ronald Lashmit officiating. Stanley was born on July 22, 1935 in Olin, to George and Vera Wilkins Smith. He attended Olin School and was a lifelong farmer. On June 10, 1963, Stanley was united in marriage to Judy Hatch in Maquoketa. Stanley was a member of the Methodist faith and served his family by providing a home and a living as a farmer, an occupation that he loved. His passion was his family and his cows. He was a caretaker of the land and the environment and was literally farming until the day he passed. 
He is loved and survived by his wife, Judy, daughters, Bonnie Leslie of Tipton and Sally Keller of Olin, sons, Stan Smith of Tipton and Scott Smith of Marion; 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; sister, Mary Wells of Cedar Rapids and brother, Joe Smith of Martelle. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters, Frieda, Ariel and Vera; 4 brothers, Frank, Dan, George and Richard.
