David Fry

David Fry

Owner, Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer

David M. Fry is a fifth generation funeral director. He purchased the funeral home from Robert & Pat Sheets in 1991 and have continued the hometown tradition of personal service ever since. He has been licensed as a Funeral Director in Iowa since 1976 and is also licensed in Indiana and North Carolina in the same capacity. He has had the privilege of caring for the deceased while helping families through the darkest days of their lives. Having lost his own father at an early age has given him a first-hand appreciation of personal loss. He holds an Iowa Life Insurance license which enables him to help families establish insurance based funeral trust accounts for prepaying of funerals before they are needed.

David is a member-at-large of the Tipton Lions Club where he served as President from 1994 – 1995, member of the Tipton Chamber of Commerce, past president of the Volunteer Services of Cedar County and served for 6 years as a Councilperson for the City of Tipton. He has also served at the President of the International Order of the Golden Rule Funeral Directors Association and as the President of the Iowa Funeral Directors Association. David is a Certified Crematory Operator and a Certified Preplanning Consultant.

Danny has been with Fry Funeral Home for over 7 years working in various capacities. Danny will be found outside helping you park your car to  inside helping you to find a seat. He understands people and that helps the funeral service flow in an even steady manner. 

Danny is usually the one who you will find driving the funeral coach. He has cared for and transported many loved ones from either the church or funeral home to the cemetery. A steady and considerate drive you are assured that your loved ones are always in good hands when Danny is behind the wheel. 


Goldie Kelley

Hostess, Support Care

Goldie Kelley has been employed at the Fry Funeral Home for over 28 years serving in many various capacities. Goldie has become the official greeter when you enter the door at the funeral home. She is always quick to point out the little things that can quickly become the big things, such as where the restrooms are located, how and where to sign the guest register book and where you can find her coffee and cookies.

Goldie has a passion for helping people and is always assisting her guests by caring for their requests and also anticipating the need before the need arrives. She keeps the funeral home spotless and clean and welcoming.
